The mission of the Phoenix Foundation of Central Florida is to afford young people the opportunity to recreate themselves while pursuing their educational goals. As knowledge is the key to changing society, the Phoenix Foundation provides funds to enhance and supplement education.
Phoenix Flight
One of the most critical social issues facing our nation today is the question of equality for our LGBTQ+ community. At the Phoenix Foundation, we recognize that it is through efforts in education and advocacy by allies of and members in the LGBTQ+ community that progress has been made in the pursuit of equality for everyone.
Phoenix Flight Criteria:

Be active in a recognized organization for the betterment of the LGBTQ+ community

Essay of no more than 500 words (See prompts below)

Scholarship reference form completed by someone familiar with your advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community

Read and submit signed terms and conditions page

Pursuing a degree at a four-year college or university

3.5 high school GPA or 3.0 college GPA

Minimum of 12 credit hours per semester
